Helping Children with Loss Program
This Grief Recovery Method Program is dedicated to empowering parents and other adults to equip their children they work with to conquer the challenges of grief. Most parents and adults working with children naturally seek to shield their children from difficult moments and traumatic life events. However, in our efforts to protect them, we often unknowingly pass on well-intentioned but ineffective coping strategies for managing grief that we ourselves learned as children.
Take a moment to reflect on how you were taught to handle emotionally painful experiences during your own childhood. It's likely that your parents and other adults offered seemingly logical explanations for not feeling sad. But did any of those explanations truly make you feel better? Probably not. Grief is an emotional process, not one governed by logic.

More often than not, you learned to bury those painful emotions deep inside rather than expressing them openly because, despite the good intentions of those around you, their words didn't bring genuine comfort. It wasn't because your parents or elders intended to mislead you; they were simply passing on what they had learned when they were young. Until recently, there was a lack of practical guidance for parents and adults to effectively assist their children in coping with the pain of heartbreak.

Overcoming Hurdles of Grief, LLC will provide you with essential tools not only to help the children you are working with overcome challenges today but also to empower them to navigate life's obstacles with greater resilience. These tools will prepare them to confront a variety of hurdles that may arise and enable them to pass on this valuable knowledge to the next generation. Your participation in this program has the potential to create a lasting positive impact on the future, enhancing the well-being of generations to come.

Again. This program isn't limited to parents alone; it's designed to benefit teachers, school counselors, and anyone who works directly with children. These skills are crucial for helping children overcome various adversities, whether it's the loss of a parent, grandparent, sibling, family divorce, or even the separation from a beloved pet.
